Over 1,000 WordPress Sites Infected with Malicious JavaScript Code

Over 1,000 WordPress sites have been infected with third-party JavaScript code that installs four distinct backdoors. According to an analysis by Himanshu Anand, a researcher at c/side, published on Wednesday, the creation of four backdoors allows attackers to have multiple re-entry points in case one of them is detected and removed. The malicious JavaScript code is distributed via cdn.csyndication.
