The Akira ransomware group has exploited an unsecured webcam to bypass Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) and launch encryption attacks on a victim's network. Cybersecurity researchers from the S-RM team have discovered this new attack technique. The ransomware group used an unsecured webcam to encrypt systems within the target's network, thereby bypassing the EDR.
