Extensive U.S. Public School Employee Data Breach Reported

In December, the hacker group Skira Team exfiltrated data from more than 40,000 teachers and employees of public schools in California, Illinois, New York, Oregon, and Pennsylvania. The attack targeted Carruth Compliance Consulting, a retirement plan administrator based in Oregon. The compromised data comes from 36 public schools. The incident was reported by SC Media.
