
Innovative 3D Security Awareness Training Platform Offers Realistic Scenarios for Enhanced Learning

A new, free, and open platform aims to address this issue by offering interactive 3D security awareness training. This innovative platform provides an immersive 3D environment where users can experience realistic security incidents from a first-person perspective. The scenarios include phishing detection, vishing (voice phishing), and handling malicious file downloads. Currently, there are nine exercises available, with fourteen more in development, along with quiz questions to reinforce the lessons. Technically, creating such an environment is complex. It requires accurate simulation of real-world scenarios, including realistic phishing emails, convincing vishing calls, and plausible malicious file downloads. The use of a 3D environment enhances realism and engagement, potentially leading to better retention of security awareness concepts. The impact on the cybersecurity landscape could be significant. Effective security awareness training is crucial for any organization's security posture.
