
Blind Eagle Cybercriminal Group Targets Colombian Institutions

The cybercriminal group known as Blind Eagle has conducted a series of campaigns targeting Colombian institutions and government entities since November 2024. According to a new analysis by Check Point, the monitored campaigns have targeted Colombian judicial institutions as well as other governmental or private organizations, with high infection rates. More than 1,600 victims were affected in one of these campaigns. The attacks exploited an NTLM vulnerability, used RATs (Remote Access Trojans), and conducted GitHub-based attacks.
