HealthDataNon-U.S.Theft
Twenty-eight computers containing the files of thousands of patients were stolen from a hospital in Belfast. These computers were used to train staff on the new Encompass system, a digital health record being rolled out across all healthcare facilities. The Belfast Health Trust has confirmed the theft of the devices. The computers contained sensitive patient information, posing significant risks to the confidentiality and security of health data.
