A prolonged attack lasting over 300 days targeted an electric utility company in Massachusetts, marking the first known compromise of the U.S. electric grid by the Voltzite subgroup of the Chinese APT group. During this period, the APT attempted to exfiltrate critical OT infrastructure data. This attack is the first of its kind to affect the U.S. electric grid by this specific group.
