Researchers have discovered a five-year malware campaign leveraging browser extensions on Chrome, Firefox, and Edge. This malware, named GhostPoster, has been downloaded 840,000 times. It hides within concealed payloads and utilizes a shared infrastructure. The malicious extensions were distributed through the browsers' official extension stores. Researchers from Koi Security and LayerX collaborated to identify this threat.
