Microsoft released its first security update of 2026 on Tuesday, January 6, addressing 114 security flaws, including one that is actively being exploited. Among these vulnerabilities, eight are classified as Critical, while 106 are rated as Important. Fifty-eight of the flaws involve privilege escalation, followed by 22 information disclosure issues and 21 remote code execution vulnerabilities.
