Cloud Security Report Highlights Ransomware Vulnerabilities

The latest cloud threat report from Palo Alto Networks Unit 42 revealed that sensitive data is present in 66% of cloud storage buckets, making them vulnerable to ransomware attacks. The SANS Institute recently reported that these attacks can be carried out by exploiting the security controls and default settings of cloud service providers. Over the past few months, two different methods for these attacks have been observed.
