Researchers from the Helmholtz Center for Information Security (CISPA) have identified a hardware vulnerability in AMD processors, named StackWarp. The issue affects chips from Zen 1 to Zen 5 and allows attackers to compromise confidential virtual machines by bypassing AMD's SEV-SNP protection. This hardware flaw enables access to data normally safeguarded by AMD's memory encryption technology, which is designed for secure virtualized environments.
