Trump's acting head of the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), Madhu Gottumukkala, uploaded sensitive contractual documents marked "for official use only" into a public version of ChatGPT last summer, triggering multiple automated security alerts. Gottumukkala had received special permission to use ChatGPT while the application was blocked for other employees of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). CISA's cybersecurity sensors flagged these uploads in August, prompting DHS officials to conduct an internal review to assess potential damage to government security.
