Google has released a major update for its open source vulnerability scanner, OSV-Scanner. This new version allows developers to receive detailed bug reports and improve the security of the open source ecosystem. The scanner can now extract information from source manifest files and lockfiles, as well as artifacts such as Node modules, Python wheels, Java uber jars, and Go binaries.
