Nitrogen Ransomware Cannot Be Decrypted Even By Its Own Creators

Government authorities have reported that paying a ransom to ransomware groups does not guarantee obtaining a functional decryption key, nor does it ensure the absence of file corruption. The case of Nitrogen ransomware illustrates a particular situation: even the Nitrogen group itself cannot decrypt the data encrypted by its own ransomware. This situation constitutes an additional reason not to consider paying a ransom, since data recovery becomes impossible even in the event of payment.
