
Bitdefender Labs Reveals 17% of Analyzed AI Skills for OpenClaw are Malicious

Bitdefender Labs has revealed that in February 2026, 17% of the AI skills analyzed for OpenClaw are malicious. The analysis covers more than 160,000 third-party add-ons for OpenClaw. These malicious extensions are used for cryptocurrency theft and the distribution of malware on macOS, including AMOS Stealer. The compromised add-ons exploit the OpenClaw platform hosted on GitHub to target macOS users.
