Google Patches First Chrome Zero-Day Exploited in Attacks This Year

Google has released a patch for a zero-day vulnerability (CVE-2024-7971) affecting its Chrome browser, which has been actively exploited in attacks. This type confusion flaw in the V8 JavaScript engine allows for arbitrary code execution. The update also addresses other critical vulnerabilities.
