Mississippi Medical Center Closes Clinics Due to Cyberattack

The University of Mississippi Medical Center (UMMC) reported that a cybersecurity attack disrupted multiple IT systems on Thursday, including its Epic electronic medical records platform. The incident led to the closure of clinics and the cancellation of outpatient care. In a February 19 social media post, UMMC stated it was responding to the attack, which took "many" IT systems offline.
