Marquis Sues SonicWall Over Alleged Security Failings Leading to Ransomware Attack

Marquis has filed a lawsuit against SonicWall, claiming that hackers used stolen information from SonicWall to carry out a ransomware attack on its network. The stolen data allegedly included details about how customers configure their firewalls, as well as emergency passcodes (scratch codes) that granted access to Marquis’ internal network. The lawsuit asserts that these security failings enabled the attackers to bypass protections.
