Authorities from two U.S. states announced last week the arrest of Chinese nationals accused of perpetrating a new form of contactless payment fraud via mobile devices. The mobile wallets used by the fraudsters were created through online phishing campaigns. The accused used a customized Android application to relay contactless payment transactions from mobile devices located in China.
