Paige Thompson's Sentence for Capital One Hack to Be Re-evaluated

Paige Thompson, responsible for the massive hacking of Capital One in 2019, will have her sentence re-evaluated. The Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals has vacated and remanded her sentence for a new assessment. This decision follows a similar sentence for Conor Brian Fitzpatrick, alias "Pompompurin" of Breached.vc. The court's decision, U.S. v. Thompson, is 9,000 words long and was recently issued.
