Chinese Hacker Group Weaver Ant Spied on Telco Network for Over Four Years

An advanced threat group linked to China, named Weaver Ant, spent more than four years in the network of a telecommunications service provider, concealing traffic and infrastructure using compromised Zyxel CPE routers. This group exploited vulnerabilities to gain access to the network and monitor communications over an extended period. Technical details include the use of compromised Zyxel CPE routers to mask their activities. The main impact is the prolonged surveillance of the telecommunications network, endangering the confidentiality of communications.
