A major telecommunications company in Asia has been the victim of an intrusion by Chinese state-sponsored hackers, who remained undetected in its systems for more than four years, according to a report by incident response firm Sygnia. The activity is tracked under the name Weaver Ant, describing the threat actor as stealthy and highly persistent. The name of the telecommunications provider has not been disclosed.
