New Bot Detection Stack Combines Multiple Techniques
CybersecurityBotDetectionSensorAnalysisTimingAttacks
The post describes two cybersecurity tools: Pulse, which detects bots by analyzing electrical grid frequency via microphone, DRAM timing patterns for virtual machines, and timer drift in sandboxed environments; and Nerve, which uses device sensors (accelerometer, gyroscope, barometer, etc.) to assess whether a user exhibits human-like physical behavior. The tools work together to identify bots even if they operate on real hardware by checking for biological presence and contextual consistency. Both packages are available on npm under the @svrnsec namespace.
