Microsoft Introduces Inline Data Protection for Edge for Business

Microsoft announced on Monday a new feature called inline data protection for its Edge for Business web browser aimed at enterprises. This native data security control is designed to prevent employees from sharing sensitive company data with popular generative AI applications like OpenAI ChatGPT, Google Gemini, and DeepSeek. The list of affected applications will be expanded over time.
