CybersecurityVulnerabilitiesEnergyInfrastructureHacking
Cybersecurity researchers have revealed 46 new security vulnerabilities in the products of three solar inverter suppliers: Sungrow, Growatt, and SMA. These vulnerabilities, collectively named SUN:DOWN by Forescout Vedere Labs, could be exploited by a malicious actor to take control of the devices or execute code remotely, posing serious risks to power grids. The vulnerabilities allow an attacker to compromise the devices and perform unauthorized actions, endangering the stability and security of energy infrastructures.
