John Hammond Announces New Cybersecurity Conference: Continuum Con
John Hammond has announced the launch of a new online conference on cybersecurity called Continuum Con. This conference stands out for its practical and interactive approach, focusing on hands-on workshops rather than theoretical presentations. The event is organized in collaboration with Level Effect and focuses exclusively on cybersecurity defense, often referred to as the "blue team." The areas covered include digital forensics, incident response, detection engineering, reverse engineering, threat hunting, malware analysis, threat intelligence (CTI), and much more. Unlike other conferences, Continuum Con avoids saturated topics like artificial intelligence and machine learning, focusing instead on practical and in-demand skills. Each session is a workshop where participants can actively engage, rather than just watching presentations. One of the most innovative aspects of Continuum Con is lifetime access to all workshops and labs, even after the conference ends. This allows for continuous training and endless learning, hence the name "Continuum Con." In addition to the workshops, there will be a Capture the Flag (CTF) competition dedicated to defense teams, with prizes to be won. The conference is designed to be accessible to all skill levels, including beginners, and will be held entirely online. The conference will take place from June 20 to 22, with a live stream where the creators of the workshops will present their content and answer questions. Participants will be able to interact via Discord and participate in as many workshops as they wish. Ticket prices are currently reduced by 20% until the end of April, and additional benefits are offered to founders to support them in their future events. For those who wish to contribute, the call for workshops (CFW) is open until April 24. Continuum Con promises to be an enriching experience for all cybersecurity enthusiasts, offering a unique opportunity to train and actively engage in key areas of cybersecurity defense.
