Dutch Authorities Arrest Two for Aiding Russian Cyberattacks, Seize 800 Servers
Dutch authorities arrested two co-owners of related internet hosting companies for operating IT infrastructure used by Russia to conduct cyberattacks, influence operations, and disinformation campaigns within the European Union. The seizures included 800 servers linked to these activities. The individuals, previously identified in a 2025 KrebsOnSecurity report, had taken control of Stark Industries Solutions, an ISP sanctioned by the EU in 2025 for facilitating cyber operations tied to Russian intelligence agencies. The arrests targeted infrastructure supporting malicious activities, though no specific attack dates or technical vulnerabilities (e.g., CVE IDs) were disclosed. The operation was led by the Dutch Fiscal Information and Investigation Service (FIOD).
