A new phishing-as-a-service (PhaaS) platform called Lucid has targeted 169 entities in 88 countries using smishing messages distributed via Apple iMessage and Rich Communication Services (RCS) for Android. Lucid stands out by utilizing legitimate communication platforms to bypass traditional SMS-based detection mechanisms. This approach allows Lucid to be scalable and difficult to detect.
