On the occasion of Gmail's 21st anniversary, Google has announced a major update allowing enterprise users to send end-to-end encrypted (E2EE) emails to any user on any email platform. This feature is being rolled out in beta starting today, initially allowing the sending of E2EE emails between Gmail users within the same organization. In the coming weeks, this capability will be extended to include all Gmail users, and then all email users.
