Black Hat USA 2026 Redesigns Attendee Experience with Hands-On Learning and Interactive Zones
Black Hat USA 2026 introduces a redesigned attendee experience shifting from passive to active learning, featuring 115 hands-on Arsenal labs and demos, including a revamped drone hacking zone with a dedicated cage operated by the Dark Wolf team. The event expands interactive spaces with a new 'Interface' area hosting multiple Capture The Flag (CTF) competitions across sectors like healthcare and retail, alongside VR breach investigation simulations and three escape rooms, one designed as a boardroom. The business hall integrates a 'Lab' zone showcasing cutting-edge research from six partners, a 'Knock Outpost' offering real-time access to the event’s Network Operations Center (NOC) with agentic AI tools, and a 'Cyber District' extending networking into 13 sponsor-hosted venues for breakfasts, lunches, and evening events. New dedicated lounges include the Summit Leaders Lounge for war-gaming scenarios, a sponsor lounge for meetings, and a first-timers program with a panel and happy hour on Tuesday from 5:00–7:00 p.m. The main stage consolidates technical, strategic, and startup content, while the AI Summit Stage and Startup CT area highlight emerging technologies, culminating in a global Startup Spotlight competition with regional finalists. Physical security is emphasized through expanded lock-picking and Lego-based 'Bricks and Picks' zones, and the event opens on Tuesday to accommodate extended business hall hours.
