China Proposes Amendments to Cybersecurity Law

On March 28, 2025, the Cyberspace Administration of China released proposed amendments to the Chinese Cybersecurity Law ("Draft Amendment") for public comment until April 27, 2025. These amendments aim to harmonize the relevant provisions of the Personal Information Protection Law ("PIPL"), the Data Security Law ("DSL"), and the Administrative Penalties Law.
