CISA, FBI, NSA, and International Cybersecurity Agencies Warn of "Fast Flux" DNS Evasion Technique
Security
CISA, the FBI, the NSA, and international cybersecurity agencies are alerting organizations and DNS providers about the "Fast Flux" evasion technique used by state-sponsored threat actors and ransomware groups. This technique allows cybercriminals to rapidly change the IP addresses associated with a domain name, making it difficult to locate and neutralize malicious servers. The impacts include increased difficulty in investigations and mitigation actions, as well as prolonged persistence of attacks.
