Cybersecurity Resume Keywords Analysis from 212 Job Postings

A study analyzed 212 cybersecurity job postings from 51 tech companies on Greenhouse, counting mentions of 41 predefined terms. Python (53.3%) and AWS (46.7%) were the most frequent engineering skills, while CISSP and OSCP tied at 5.7% for certifications. Incident response (37.7%) and threat modeling (34.9%) led domain/practice keywords, and SIEM (26.9%) topped tools. The data excludes government/defense roles and has a margin of error of ±5-7%.
