JSCeal Cryptocurrency Stealer Uses V8 Bytecode Obfuscation to Evade Detection

JSCeal is a cryptocurrency stealer that Check Point Research has tracked since early 2025. The malware hides its code in V8 bytecode format, which makes analysis more difficult than typical malware. Researchers built a tool to decompile the V8 bytecode and expose the malware's advanced theft capabilities. Check Point presented its findings on this crypto-stealing malware that uses an unconventional obfuscation technique to evade detection.
