Revolut Data Breach: Sensitive Customer Data Sent to Hacker Impersonating Government Agency

Revolut transmitted sensitive customer data including passports, selfies, and Bitcoin transaction histories to a hacker who impersonated a government agency. The attacker successfully spoofed the email domain of a legitimate government agency to make fraudulent data requests. Revolut fell victim to this social engineering attack and disclosed the confidential customer information to the fake government agents.
