Four U.S. states—Florida, Iowa, Montana, and Nebraska—filed lawsuits against router maker TP-Link Systems on October 6, bringing the total number of states suing the company to five, following Texas which filed suit in February. The states allege that the California-based company misled consumers about the security of its routers and its separation from China. TP-Link Systems denies the claims and stated it will contest them in court.
