ConnectWise Cloud Backup Service Shut Down After Supply-Chain Attack Compromises Microsoft 365 Tenants

ConnectWise shut down customer access to its Cloud Backup service, formerly known as SkyKick Cloud Backup, after hackers accessed application identities and compromised Microsoft 365 tenants. The incident represents a supply-chain attack targeting ConnectWise's cloud infrastructure. The breach allowed attackers to compromise multiple customer Microsoft 365 environments through the compromised ConnectWise service. ConnectWise took the service offline as a response to contain the security incident.
