The Spanish police have arrested six individuals involved in a large-scale cryptocurrency investment scam. This fraud used artificial intelligence tools to generate deepfake advertisements featuring popular public figures to attract victims. The scammers managed to steal 20 million dollars. The deepfake advertisements were designed to deceive people into believing that celebrities were endorsing cryptocurrency investments.
