The Paper Werewolf cyber threat group has exclusively targeted Russian entities with a new implant called PowerModul. The attacks, which took place between July and December 2024, targeted organizations in the mass media, telecommunications, construction, government, and energy sectors, according to a report published on Thursday by Kaspersky.
