Europol Targets Customers of Smokeloader Pay-Per-Install Botnet

Law enforcement agencies from several countries have announced the arrest of users of the malicious botnet Smokeloader. Smokeloader is a pay-per-install botnet, meaning cybercriminals pay for each successful installation of the malware on victims' systems. This operation, led by Europol, aims to dismantle the network of clients using this botnet to distribute other types of malware, including Trickbot. The operation, named Operation Endgame, has disrupted the activities of this criminal network.
