Widespread SMS Phishing Campaign Targets Toll Road Users in Eight U.S. States

Since mid-October 2024, an SMS phishing campaign has been targeting toll road users in eight U.S. states. This campaign, conducted by several financially motivated threat actors, utilizes a smishing kit developed by 'Wang Duo Yu'. Researchers from Cisco Talos, Azim Khodjibaev and Chetan, have identified this threat. The campaign aims to commit financial theft by exploiting toll road users.
