Android Malware SpyLend Downloaded 100,000 Times from Google Play Store

Researchers from CYFIRMA have discovered that the Android malware SpyLend has been downloaded 100,000 times from the official Google Play Store. This malware, distributed under the name Finance Simplified, targets Indian users through unauthorized loan applications, thereby facilitating predatory lending, blackmail, and extortion. The Finance Simplified application has enabled financial cybercrime and extortion activities by exploiting vulnerable users.
