Tech giants, including Cisco and Microsoft, have proposed a standardized model for end-of-life (EOL) security disclosures called OpenEoX. This model proposes a shared data format that can be integrated into SBOMs, security advisories, and other ecosystem tools. The OpenEoX model is being developed under the auspices of the OASIS organization, which focuses on the development of open standards.
