Magento Supply Chain Attack Compromises Hundreds of E-Stores

A supply chain attack involving 21 compromised Magento extensions has affected between 500 and 1,000 online stores, including that of a $40 billion multinational company. The malicious extensions were downloaded from a third-party developer's website. Cybercriminals used malicious scripts to steal payment information and personal data from customers. The attack was discovered after security researchers detected suspicious activities on the compromised sites.
