
US Charges Yemeni Hacker Behind Black Kingdom Ransomware

The United States Department of Justice (DoJ) announced on Thursday charges against a 36-year-old Yemeni national for deploying the Black Kingdom ransomware against global targets, including businesses, schools, and hospitals in the United States. Rami Khaled Ahmed of Sana'a, Yemen, is accused of conspiracy, intentional damage to a protected computer, and attempted extortion. The Black Kingdom ransomware targeted approximately 1,500 systems worldwide.
