UNC3944 Shifts Tactics to Ransomware and Data Extortion

UNC3944, also known as Scattered Spider, is a financially motivated threat actor characterized by the persistent use of social engineering and bold communications with victims. Initially, UNC3944 primarily targeted organizations related to telecommunications to support SIM swap operations. However, starting in early 2023, the group changed tactics by turning to ransomware and data theft extortion.
