Google announced on Thursday the deployment of new AI-based countermeasures to combat scams on Chrome, Search, and Android. The company will use Gemini Nano, its on-device large language model (LLM), to enhance safe browsing in Chrome 137 on desktop computers. This on-device approach provides instant information about risky websites.
