Bluetooth 6.1 Enhances Privacy with Randomized RPA Timing
Security
The Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG) has announced the Bluetooth Core 6.1 specification, bringing significant improvements to the popular wireless communication protocol. This new version introduces a random timing feature for resolvable private addresses (RPAs), thereby enhancing user privacy. The random timing of RPAs makes it more difficult for unauthorized third parties to track Bluetooth devices. This update aims to improve the security and privacy of Bluetooth communications.
