Austrian Privacy Organization Threatens Meta with Legal Action Over AI Data Use

The Austrian privacy protection organization noyb (none of your business) has sent a cease and desist letter to Meta's Irish headquarters, threatening the company with a class action lawsuit if it proceeds with its plans to use user data to train its artificial intelligence (AI) models without explicit consent. This action comes a few weeks after the social media giant announced its intentions to start training its AI models from May 27.
