New HTTPBot Botnet Targets Gaming Industry and Tech Companies in China

A new malicious botnet called HTTPBot has been identified, primarily targeting the video game industry, as well as technology companies and educational institutions in China. According to a report published by NSFOCUS, HTTPBot has launched more than 200 precise DDoS attacks over the past few months. The botnet uses infected devices to carry out external attacks, with aggressive expansion observed recently. The specific impacts of these attacks were not detailed in the report.
